The purpose of the Program of Studies is to provide a road map to a successful high school experience. As you will see, we offer many paths to success. Individuals are encouraged to choose the best path for them and to evaluate that path each year.

The Program of Studies outlines four aspects of our high school program:

An explanation of graduation requirements as specified by the New York State Board of Regents for both Regents and Local Diploma.
A listing of sequence options presented in both narrative and graphic formats for your convenience.
Answers to commonly asked questions regarding various aspects of the high school program.
A list and description of courses and sequences offered by department.

Cooperation among parents, students, and staff is necessary and very important when selecting a program of study that will provide for the educational needs of every student. The Shenendehowa High School staff will provide assistance to you in developing your program and will assist in the decision-making and problem-solving processes. Student conferences will be scheduled for this purpose. If you have any questions, you are urged to call the Counseling Center or a department supervisor.
